Qtones is owned by Qmobile and provides mobile content to mobile phone users. Qtones offers ringtones, chat services, wallpapers, text services, and more. Qtones is currently connected with the largest wireless service provides in the US including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Nextel Communication, Boost Mobile, Mobileular One, Midwest Wireless, and Suncom.

How does the Qtones service work?

Qtones allows you to customize your mobile phone with all the hottest ringtones and wallpapers, top models, daily jokes, horoscopes, local chat functionality, and much more. Look out for our TV advertisements, check out or magazine advertisements, or find us on the web at qtones.com. Browse for wallpapers, ringtones, and text services and download them to your phone. Each month you are allowed a certain number of downloads, and every month this number is renewed. If for some reason you would like to opt out, simply send STOP to 40100.

How do I signup?

On the website?

Simply browse the website until you find an item you would like to download. Click on the "Get It" button. Input your phone number and optional email and proceed to the next page. You will receive a text message with a pin number. Enter the pin into the box on the webpage and click next. That�s it, you�re signed up! Enjoy downloading all the hottest ringtones, wallpapers, and more!

From a magazine or TV commercial?

Locate the item you want to download. There will be a keyword (usually a combination of letters and number) associated with the item. Send a text from your mobile phone to 40100 with the keyword for the item you want to download. You will receive a text message with some simple instructions, just follow the instructions to signup!

Is the Qtones service free?

It is free to browse our website and preview wallpapers and ringtones. However, there is a fee of $9.99/month that provides you with credits to download content. Should you choose to opt out of the service, simply send STOP to 40100 to cancel your subscription.

Which mobile phones are supported by Qtones?

Qtones currently supports all major U.S. wireless carriers and many regional wireless phone companies. Most of these carriers have the ability to deliver ringtones to your phone, but not all of them. Specifically, you can receive ringtones if your carrier is AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltel, or Cellular One. You can also receive text alerts services and participate in text chat if your carrier is one of these or Nextel or Boost Mobile.

How do I find the model number of my phone?

The model number on most phones can be found on the phone itself under the battery. Remove the battery and look for a model number on the phone underneath.

How do I contact customer support?

You can reach customer service in two ways. You can call our customer service line at 1-800-761-6916 or send an email to support@qmobile.com.

How old do I have to be to download a ringtone?

You must be 18+ years of age to subscribe or 13+ years of age and have parental consent. If you are not 18+ years of age or 13+ and have the permission of a parent, please do not subscribe to the Qtones services.

How do I order a wallpaper or ringtone on the website?

Signing up to our services are fast, safe and simple. Simply select the wallpaper or ringtone you want to download signup to one of our subscription plans by entering your mobile phone number and verifying your account with the password that is sent to you. Once you have been subscribed to our service you will receive your wallpaper or ringtone shortly.

How do I find what I am looking for on the website?

There are a few ways to find items on Qtones.com. On the left side of the front page you will find dropdown menus with lists of categories for you to browse. On the top of every page you will find a search bar where you can perform a search for exactly what you are looking for. On the front page you will also find lists for our top ringtones and wallpapers.

Where can I report a problem or typo on the website?

Simply email support@qmobile.com with the problem and we will respond and make the appropriate changes.

Can I preview a ringtone before I buy it?

Of course! Select the ringtone you are interested in on our website and then click on the play button on the left to preview the ringtone as many times as you want. If you decide to download it click on the "Get It" button to have it sent to your phone.

Download Help

Will your download services work on my phone?

Our ringtones and wallpapers will work on most mobile phones. Your mobile phone must be internet enabled and have data services enabled. If you are not sure if your phone has data a service enabled or is internet enabled please contact your wireless carrier.

What happens after I place my order, how do I download the item onto my phone?

After you place your order you will receive one of two types of messages from Qtones with a link in the message body. Depending on your wireless carrier you will receive either a SMS text message with a link to the download in the message body or what is called a WAP push, or browser message. In some cases you will receive both. Simply click on the link to download the item to your phone and save it.

I did not get a text message with the download link?

Please make sure your mobile phone is internet enabled and has text messaging capabilities. The most likely reasons you have not received a message with the download link are as follows:

  1. You may have entered your phone number incorrectly on the order page.
  2. Your carrier is experiencing network congestion which will cause the message to take longer than average to reach your phone.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is simple. Just select the ringtone or wallpaper you want to download and enter your mobile phone number. You will then receive a password to your account. Once you have been verified your account subscription is created.

When am I billed?

By registering for a Subscription Service or Text Services you authorize Qtones to bill your mobile telephone invoice. Monthly Subscription plans are billed the Subscription fee each month until you cancel the Subscription. If you cancel your Subscription for any reason, Qtones will not refund any of your fees. Monthly subscribers are billed on a 30�day cycle, which begins on the first day you sign up for the subscription and ends 30 days thereafter (your "Billing Cycle"). Your telephone bill will be charged on the first day of each Billing Cycle. You agree that normal carrier charges (WAP, MMS, GPRS, and SMS) may apply. Unused Credits do not roll�over to the next month.

What is M-Qube or Verisign and why do they appear on my bill?

M-Qube and Verisign are third party companies that QMobile (The parent Company of Qtones) uses to bill our customers. The charges for our service will show up on your wireless phone bill through them.

Can I get a refund?

If you read our terms and conditions we state that there is a double opt in to subscribe to our service. Therefore if you download one of our ringtones and subscribe to our service, we are not obligated to refund your money and it is not generally in our practice to do so. Our terms and conditions also state that we are not obligated to refund you if our service is incompatible with your phone.

Qtones supports the Mobile Marketing Association�s carrier best practices and implements all carrier requirements to ensure that all customers are carefully informed of all charges and that billing occurs as expected. This process includes a double opt-in procedure to verify a customer�s intent to purchase a piece of content or subscribe to a service. If a customer wishes to dispute any charge or to request to refund, they may do so by contacting Qtones at support@qtones.com.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To immediately unsubscribe from Qtones, is simply to text STOP to 40100. You will then receive a text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You can also call our customer service line at 1-800-761-6916 or send an email to support@qmobile.com, but please keep in mind, your service will be terminated immediately if you send the text message. If you do send an email, please include the mobile number that is being charged so we can locate your account.

The Qtones Daily Horoscope Service is $9.99 per month ($6.99 per month for Boost Mobile) charged to your mobile phone bill monthly or deducted monthly from your pre-paid balance. Please note that in addition, Msg&Data Rates May Apply to each daily horoscope we send you. You may cancel ("Opt-Out") of the Qtones Daily Horoscope Service at any time by sending a text (SMS) message with the word "stop" to 40100 as the only text in it. We will confirmed your cancellation and no further messages will be sent. Please note that we will cease sending you horoscopes on the day you request, but you will still be billed the full amount for any partial month.
